Lynne Blankenbeker is a seasoned leader, public servant, and decorated veteran whose career spans more than three decades of military, legal, and public policy service. A retired Navy Captain, Lynne brings a wealth of experience in healthcare, leadership, and national security to her work as a public speaker and facilitator.
Commissioned in 1986, Lynne served 36.5 years in the U.S. Air Force and Navy Nurse Corps, with six combat and operational deployments. Her assignments included frontline medical care during Operation Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom. She later held senior leadership positions such as Commanding Officer of Operational Health Support Unit, San Diego, Director for Navy Medicine Reserve Policy and Integration, and healthcare policy advisor to the Chief of Navy Reserve. Notably, she deployed aboard the USNS Comfort during the COVID-19 crisis in New York City, and served as Chief Nursing Officer at Joint Task Force–Guantanamo Bay.
Beyond her military service, Lynne has made significant contributions in law and public policy. She holds a Juris Doctor from Franklin Pierce Law Center and has served as an Assistant County Attorney, prosecutor, and consumer protection director. She also represented her community in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, where she was Vice Chair of State and Federal Relations and Veterans’ Affairs. In recognition of her leadership, she was named New Hampshire Woman of the Year in 2011.
Today, Lynne continues to influence national security and policy as the Senior Policy Advisor for Women, Peace, and Security to the Chief of Naval Operations. At AnchorPoint Strategy, she draws on her extraordinary breadth of experience to engage audiences on leadership, resilience, healthcare, and public service.
Her distinguished service has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Legion of Merit (two awards), the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, and multiple commendation and achievement medals.
