Leadership Development Facilitator & Coach

Michelle Chaney brings over two decades of leadership, team development, and operational experience to her role as a Leadership Development Facilitator and Coach with AnchorPoint Strategies. A seasoned healthcare and logistics leader, Michelle’s background spans both military and civilian sectors, where she has led diverse teams through complex, high-stakes environments across the globe.

Michelle began her career in healthcare operations and emergency medical services, serving in a variety of clinical, field, and leadership roles throughout the United States, the Middle East, and Asia. Her work has included deployments to Iraq, Kuwait, and Guantanamo Bay, where she led cross-functional medical teams in dynamic, culturally sensitive environments. She also held several senior leadership positions in organizational development, workforce engagement, and talent management — including her appointment as the Enlisted Leader Development Program Manager for the Navy Reserve’s national training enterprise.

Throughout her career, Michelle has been consistently recognized for her ability to develop emerging leaders, foster psychologically safe teams, and drive mission alignment across complex organizations. She has served as a Command Senior Enlisted Leader within Navy Medicine and held multiple advisory roles in executive leadership development and culture transformation initiatives.

Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts from Excelsior University, an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science as a Health and Fitness Technician from Spokane Community College, and an Associate’s Degree in Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute. She is currently completing her Master of Social Work at Louisiana State University, with a focus on behavioral health and trauma-informed leadership (anticipated graduation: October 2025). In addition to her work with APS, Michelle serves on the Board of Directors for the Mathematics Education Collaborative (MEC), supporting equity-focused STEM education initiatives.
